I had the opportunity to watch Dr. Schofield assist my family with an in-home, end-of-life appointment for their 19-year-old cat. The appointment was not pre-planned, not an ideal time, and couldn’t wait another day. I found Dr. Schofield to be a compassionate physician who effortlessly made a difficult situation not just bearable but, for my family, beautiful. She was compassionate, explained everything thoroughly but concisely, and seemed to lean in when so many veterinarians tend to interact peripherally in a way that feels separate and cold, at best. There are plenty of people who have earned a degree in veterinary medicine, but Dr. Schofield has the unique ability to show up as both a gifted provider and an open-hearted, deeply caring human. Highly recommend.

Super appreciated Dr. Schofield’s professionalism and care in her outstanding treatment for two of our three dogs. She went above and beyond in caring for my Great Pyrenees-mix dog, whose back paws were injured when he jumped from a moving car. She followed up with ongoing wound care until his wounds healed. She also diagnosed and proposed treatment for my German Shepherd’s horrible skin issues, which have now been resolved. Dr. Schofield was able to explain the necessary care and proposed treatments in terms we could easily understand, and she did so with kindness and humor. She has a big heart—thank you, Amber.

Dr. Schofield came to our home to do a wellness exam and address some concerns we had about our sweet 16 yr old cat, Chancho. He stresses anytime we have to put him in the car, and he definitely hates going to the vet. She was compassionate and made us feel comfortable immediately. Chancho usually protests anyone getting close to him except people in his home circle, but he was relaxed and calm with Dr. Schofield. He clearly was able to sense good character right away!
